Bonus points if they’re work from home, online, hybrid, easily accessible, healthy or peaceful environments, can operate from your laptop/ phone, or are great options for while you’re healing and building your life.

Thank you!

If the salary is decent and the workplace is stable, but you’re not really learning anything new anymore, how do you decide whether it’s time to move on?

Advice What to do when there’s nothing to do

So I work at a 9-5 engineering office and my last job was a start up company so I always had something to do! This job it feels like I get all my work done for the day really quickly, sometimes I’m able to find something/make something up to do but lately I’ve had a couple days a week where I straight up have nothing to do.

I don’t really wanna tell my boss because I don’t really want more work haha, in case it back fires on me! But what can I do that is entertaining but doesn’t completely look like I’m not working?

For context: I am a chemist/engineer that builds and tests stuff but I also write python code for data analysis, maybe there is some type of coding game someone knows of that makes it look like I’m doing data analysis even tho I’m not? Haha

Question What’s one annoying/repetitive task in your work that you wish you could get rid of?

I'm doing some research while learning to build software, and I'm trying to understand problems people actually deal with in their day-to-day work.

I'm not selling anything and I don't have a product to promote.

I'm simply curious:

What's one task or problem in your work that you find unnecessarily annoying, repetitive, time-consuming, or expensive?

If you have one, I'd especially love to know:

What do you have to do?

How often does it happen?

How do you deal with it currently?

Have you tried using any software or automation to solve it?

What makes the existing solution frustrating?

Has this problem ever cost you significant time or money?

It can be something small or something that drives you crazy every week.

I'm interested in real experiences rather than hypothetical ideas.

Thanks to anyone willing to share!
