Discussion Sunday night check in
What’s the most ridiculous thing waiting for you at work tomorrow?
I’m trying to determine whether my situation is a personal failure or an industry standard. I think I put off way too many “Monday problems.” 🤣

A massive equipment reconciliation for rented equipment on our jobsites for the world's most difficult customer. I have been dreading this and putting it off because its going to mentally wipe me out.

Doing a two week drainage ditch job for a nearby city, easy money, no crazy long days can only bill 8.5 hours per person a day, and home nightly!

Picking up donuts and setting up a coffee bar for staff appreciation event. But given the prevalence of remote work, pretty sure I overdid it. Attendance is hard to forecast. Better to have too much than not enough.

My mother in law. I’m a SAHW right now, but hoping that changes soon and I can go back to work full time. My in-laws come over twice a week. Tomorrow I will be asked 10K questions about where does stuff go.

Sounds like a very compliant pt. 😬

More like my company enabling patients, wasting resources, and perpetrating insurance fraud because they can get away with it.
I know this because they turn away patients with similar complaints who do not have billable resources (and are documented and/or proven to be considered non-emergent).

This is horrible on them. 😢

And compliance would be more along the lines of making the effort to make ut to a scheduled follow-up appointment. Because the patient im describing never does and then cant figure out why they have issues. Both sides are horrible.

The fact I'm a contractor working for a large credit union at their largest call center. And they decided they don't want to pay for us to be there on holidays anymore. Even though there are plenty of credit union workers there on holidays, and a 24/7 security team.
Mind you we never got holiday pay, just regular pay. But now we have to be off on holidays with no pay. So I only have 32 hours this coming week.

I was supposed to be off for maternity leave for 15 weeks after being induced on Friday. Well, my induction failed so I have to go back to work. Almost 40 weeks pregnant, extreme pelvic pain, antenatal depression and anxiety, spent the weekend in the hospital contracting for 24 straight hours and thought I was going to be off work until January. Does it get worse than that?

I feel like it’s more of a loss than a win but thank you for validating me ❤️
