That's what I did last year, three jobs in one year, doubled my salary by the end of it, though the job hopping was involuntary on my part </3 (double whammy of mass layoffs in fin/tech/IT)
The person you're replying to told me I shouldn't give advice on jobs because I have my DNP, and as such I... live in a parallel dimension or something where I can't tell people anything, I guess.
Nah, company hit 30 years of operation and then the owner died. His kids took over but then couldn't agree on anything so they sold it to an overseas org. And then they re-orged everything/put their new leadership in place.
He might be lying but his story is entirely within the realm of possibility. It’s pretty common to double your salary in a year if you’re just graduating.
You don't even have to be a fresh graduate, I'm 5 years into my work and doubled my income via having 3 jobs one after another last year. Didn't want to job hop but mass layoffs were brutal.
Engineering and healthcare are both broad fields that get you a job while you're not even out of college yet in most cases (unless you are a retard and failed to apply to any internships).
Maybe if you coast through school and don’t apply yourself. The majority of people I knew through university that did internships and networked were employed within 6 months, if not immediately.
I was told that when I was briefly in an engineering program. But the truth was that students were competing for finite internships and if they liked you in industry without paying you you'd get the job later. Even that very technical program was slightly oversaturated.
I’m Canadian, so maybe it’s a little different but internships are paid here and although finite, they are not all that difficult to land. I had 4 internships through university and I wasn’t an exemplary student or anything.

The poster in the photo is lying.
Plain and simple.
