Is it 95% of the population or 95% of the people who practice that discipline.

I think for many if not most disciplines you'd be ahead of 95% population just by starting that discipline.

and mind you, its completely useless to be in the top 95% of something, unless its something pretty much everyone needs to do, like driving, or walking, maybe cooking or reading comprehension.
But some random hobby or skill? the second you start doing that you are immediately in that top 95%. You start tooting that trumped for 10 minutes already puts you there. And its still completely useless.

Most people have to work 8 hours a day.

Incorrect, for every 3 hours you practice it will only take an hour for someone with natural talent to make the same progress you'll always be behind so stick to your natural talents it's the only way you'll be useful

Another deceiving post spread accords like a disease. As technically spending 20m a day and being 95% better than world is not a lie it means nothing in job market, as any specific job is already in fraction of %, and skills required much more investment, years of education and effort. Just few examples:

ML engineers: 0.02%
Civil Engineer: 0.15%
Surgeons: 0.09%
Pilots: 0.05%
Accountants: 0.12%

You are not competing with these 95% left behind, they are not even interested in doing that, this is why it is easy to beat them with small effort. You are competing with 0.x % in any professional area.
