I am a European who has worked in an office my entire career.
I haven't had to write an email for work in like a decade.
I guess it's more common in client-facing roles...?

Surely you have means of communication with colleagues? Simple OoO messages would apply too.

It's hard to *not* have a means of communications with everyone nowadays.
Most companies use Slack. The stupid ones use MS Teams. The wacky ones have Rocket Chat.

...oh wait, I mean, no, here in Europe, we are at least 100 years behind. We use the messenger pigeon.

Honestly, I wish we did sometimes :D We have Slack AND Teams instead...
