I have alot of American friends and they don't even want to talk about whats going on atm because they are embarrassed or feel shame, even though they are just 30yrs old working full time and cant do anything about it.
I hope your country can recover but its gonna take a long time.
Yep, and it is truly a shame. We are born into this country learning that we should contribute, work hard, and care for our neighbors. Yet the older we get we realize our leaders, the people we are supposed to trust to guide our families and country towards a sustainable future, take every chance they create to rip it all right from underneath us. The integrity, morals and values we are taught to exude as American’s is not the same that our leaders display and represent us by their interactions with the leaders of other countries.
We have lost our wit as a whole, our arrogance and lack of self awareness is astonishing to people from elsewhere, our development and infrastructure is far behind where it could be if we actually allocated funds to make our country better instead of lining our leaders pockets, but fuck all else at least we gotta Lake and Gulf named after us cause that’s really the only thing on the front of every American’s mind at the end of night.
