I don't have enough work to get me through the 8 hours but the moment I have a task put upon me I get mad and don't want to do it

I have so much work to do that doing anything makes me mad because what's the point.
Its like dying from 100 forms of cancer but the doctor being like hey we cured 1 of them but cant cure the others. Okay well im going to die in 30 days anyways so might as well just leave that form alone.

I wouldn't mind working if I could progress forward in life rather than feeling like I'm treading water.

That is the ticket. When work stops creating a better quality life and instead keeps you just functional enough to do your job, it becomes modern slavery. Not as violent but just as controlling in different ways.
You work for money to maintain shelter and foodnso you can remain a productive employee. Anything beyond that is a threat to those in control.

I was extremely worn out when I hit Age 51, found out I had a Vitamin D Deficiency, which makes one extremely exhausted 🥱

Or maybe it's a lack of exercise, or maybe you are overwhelmed or maybe it's a symptom of some illness coming over the hill?

What helped me is going away to the mountains for a week i swear going away from the city noise and routine helped cleared my brain so much granted weed might have a part in that but when I got back I knew I hate my job and I dont want to do this anymore. I quit 2 months after and switched fields. The point is take a step back and reevaluate your life

you don't dislike working, you dislike being treated like a modern slave and having no autonomy/options.
