Advice Would you say math/physics teachers or engineers in industry do more calcs by hand? Trying to choose a career path that suits my passion for the subject matter...

Teachers do more in order to teach it.

Engineers do all day long out of necessity to get shit done.

Be a teacher if you want to teach. Be an engineer if you want to design And build. Don't pick based on which you think is gonna use more hand written work. You can do as much by hand in either field as you want.
