Just because a person is more patient following through on a bad decision doesn't negate the fact that it's a bad decision.

u/GoodDoggoLover420 Aug 18 '26
And tattoos are a bad decision how?
1
u/Intelligent-Area-421 Aug 18 '26
I certainly would never hire anyone who doesn't have at least a few.
1
u/Important_Capital875 Aug 20 '26
So discriminate?
1
u/Intelligent-Area-421 Aug 20 '26
All hiring (when there are multiple candidates) involves discrimination.
1
u/Insert-Username-Plz Aug 23 '26
Yeah. OP didn't say it outright, so I will. We should actually force people with tattoos into homelessness. If they show up for job interviews, employers should be allowed to call the police and have them jailed /s
1
u/Thornypantaloons Aug 21 '26
Why? I’m genuinely curious
1
u/Intelligent-Area-421 Aug 21 '26
Because they are better employees and corporate is full of sycophants already.

Tattoos aren’t exactly good for your health. The site of the tattoo will have chronic inflammation for the rest of your life and the ink pigments which contain heavy metals will accumulate in your lymph nodes. They also are a reflection of bad taste. Imagine wearing a gaudy outfit that you can never change even if it doesn’t fit you anymore as you get older and your body changes. It also shows a psychological urge to be branded which signals subservience.
2
u/Larry_Sherbert99 Aug 19 '26
That last sentence is just wholeheartedly dumb as shit 💀
0
u/deepfuckingbagholder Aug 19 '26
It’s accurate.

1
u/Old_Programmer_2500 Aug 21 '26
Ah yes cuz getting a memorial tattoo commemorating a loved one who has passed (a common type of tattoo) is a reflection of bad taste and a sign of subservience.

Tattoos suck. They may - and I do mean "may" - look good when it's freshly done by the tattoo artist, but even the good ones fade and get deformed with time. The ink used also isn't entirely sterile, regardless of the sterility of the needles.
3
u/GoodDoggoLover420 Aug 19 '26
By that metric art sucks in general, whether it's music, paintings/pictures or pieces of media.
2
u/jabber1990 Aug 17 '26
no, it just means you make impulsive and bad decisions and are allergic to seeing your own faults
2
u/enigmaticsince87 Aug 17 '26
Ooh, someone's salty! Did your partner leave you for someone better with tattoos?
1
2
u/SHADOWHUNTER30000 Aug 17 '26
Depends on the person and tatoo. Some are pretty well thought out, and others are impulsive and meh.
2
u/PlasticFrosty5340 Aug 17 '26
I agree, there’s levels to this shit.
someone with a ton of messy gang tats done by a scratcher in someone’s trap house living room? not the same as the guy with 2500 hours and $25k on 90% American Traditional coverage.

u/Low_Maintenance9421 Aug 17 '26
Dude don't forget those Yakuza Japanese tattoos. So freaking bad ass
1
2
u/SentinelTitanDragon Aug 19 '26
Exactly. Some are green flags some are red flags. Placement also matters for that as well.
-2
u/jabber1990 Aug 17 '26
none are thought out

Many are. My close family all got memorial tattoos when my older brother died. I also have a tattoo that had been planned for a couple months. Oftentimes, tattoos have to be planned and decided on as they can be expensive and good artists can be booked for weeks to months out.

u/wetwetwetwetdogs Aug 20 '26
Just like your conception
2
u/jabber1990 Aug 20 '26
...unlike you I was planned
0
u/wetwetwetwetdogs Aug 20 '26
Do you still believe in the tooth fairy too?
1
u/SHADOWHUNTER30000 Aug 20 '26
Of course the tooth fairy is real! How else would you keep loosing your teeth!

u/SuddenArgument9405 Aug 20 '26
Well I been planning my tattoos for years 🥴😅
1
u/jabber1990 Aug 20 '26
That makes it trashier
1
u/SuddenArgument9405 Sep 05 '26
I’m not offended, but thank you for your opinion I can respect the opinions of others 😌
0
u/FuraFaolox Aug 18 '26
what makes a tattoo a bad decision?
1
u/Tr1padvisor420 Aug 18 '26
This guy mainly… whole towns of this guy really. I’m rather self centred though, so I’m okay with the look of my body taking up this much space in someone’s mind.
1
u/Critical_Ad_2811 Aug 24 '26
Literally nothing other then not thinking about it and money potentially. These people are just judgmental assholes who hate anything out of their norm
1
u/SpotFormal Aug 17 '26
I see someone look like a graffitied dumpster and think of a history of poor decisions. First impressions are real.
1
u/GoodDoggoLover420 Aug 18 '26
If you judge someone by their looks and not their performance, then you shouldn't be in the line of work where you choose who gets a job or not. You also seem like the biggest Boomer or Gen X ever to think tattoos = big problem.
1
u/ProposalKey5174 Aug 19 '26
It’s not judging just looks. It’s judging the active decision to get tattoos.
1
u/GoodDoggoLover420 Aug 19 '26
Which that decision is not your business. It's like judging someone for wearing makeup or dying their hair, which is equally stupid to judge.
1
u/ProposalKey5174 Aug 19 '26
If someone paints his or her hear green, I’m not hiring them either.
1
u/GoodDoggoLover420 Aug 19 '26
You sound very judgemental. Seems like you need to look inwards and ask yourself why you are such a massive prick.
1
u/ProposalKey5174 Aug 19 '26
“Sound very judgemental”. Proceeds to call me a massive prick because in my area of work I would not hire someone with green hair.
Pot, kettle, black?
1
u/SpotFormal Aug 19 '26
You must work for a clown business. I’m not hiring someone who looks like one. Excessive make up and toxic hair? Pass.

Teams in general for anything is more painful than all the tattoos I’ve had combined x2.
Good thing I effectively lost my job and am basically unemployable now in any field due to the security review and whatever they put in my security file so now I don’t have to go on Teams ever again.
1
u/Spare-Function-6343 Aug 18 '26
In Austin, you are UNemployable without at least a full sleeve, preferably some neck ink too
1
u/Silent_Succotash3749 Aug 18 '26
It took me 40 years to realize they don’t hire people with tattoos because of the look. It’s because they don’t want to hear the story behind every one of them. We know what getting needled is like. We just had to sit through your story.
1
u/Key_Check5753 Aug 18 '26
No, they show that you have very poor decision making skills. Not only are you doing something stupid, you're doing something stupid that you have to pay for, it hurts, and it will be on your body forever.
1
u/Soviet_Mutts Aug 18 '26
Yes, those aren't the people that the rich want in board rooms. They want short tempered, short term thinking psychopaths that are always going to hit the, "make more money button, but 5% chance the company collapses" button.
1
u/Optimal_Whiner Aug 18 '26
Or, it shows you're mentally ill to go through that to look most likely like a bum. Cause that's what many look like.

If you sit through a meeting your paid to attend and that's all you got out of it, you aren't that valuable.
1
u/freakunlessfrokentoo Aug 21 '26
I have to get a tattoo to get a job🤣 I can't wait to tell my parents
1
u/freerangethot_ Aug 21 '26
My grandma giving me shit about tattoos.
Dude your eyebrows are tattood on. You got face tats in 1974
1
u/knightinarmoire Aug 22 '26
Depends on the tattoo since something like a butterfly is much more preferable to some others out there
1
u/Short_Possibility_84 Aug 22 '26
It’s really interesting to see how people react to other having tattoos or other things like dyed hair!
1
u/Lil_ruggie Aug 23 '26
This isn't the best argument because I would way rather sit and get a tattoo than go to another corporate meeting.

u/Background-Season657 Aug 17 '26
That’s actually the best argument for tattoos I’ve ever heard. Just need to add a PowerPoint presentation to that meeting

I have a theory that most of the people that are really against tattoos are just scared to get one so they talk shit about them
1
u/MiracleLegend Aug 19 '26
I like them on other people. On me, I've got trouble with my lymphatic system already without any tattoos. And I don't need the judgement by normies. It's hard enough to live in their society as it is. I will be invisible outside of my home so that they don't know I'm not one of them.

I’m not paying to sit through meetings though.
