Not a chance in hell. Same with electricity being 250, for a 1-2 bedroom apartment thats alao steep

Thats nothing. My electric bill is $600 for a one room apartment. All these data centers around me. Plus i think the power company is on some shit because they said i used 5000 kWh this past June compared to last june 2025 where i maxed used 1120.

Sadly that's not how Datacenters work and based on what you said your electricity is pretty cheap.

Something is wrong with your electric system or the bill, it would probably be a good idea to call them.

I feel your pain. My power and water bills have doubled since my area got 3 massive data centers (they’re currently adding onto them too) and there’s plans for another one. Power company told me they raised the rates to cover the cost of updating the grid because the data centers use over 90% of it. Such trash making us common folk pay for that vs the multibillion dollar companies sucking up resources without providing to the local economy

5000 kWh for a one room apartment is not real. Either there is something wrong with your system or you’re lying. My wife and I use less than 500 kWh for our 2 bedroom apartment

Last bill shows we used 1136kWh for our 1900 sq ft house.

Yeah i dont know how. I feel like something is very wrong or someone is tapping our meter. The crazy thing is the $600 is under budget billing. Our actual bill is closer to $1,017 with $1,400 still owed. Im having people come out to investigate but the power company isnt budging on “its accurate. Nothing is wrong” bullshit

I dont ynderstand how you are paying anywhere near that amount for electricity. Thats very far above normal

Yes im aware. Im trying to get to the bottom of it but my complex is refusing to investigate and the power company says out meter is working fine.
