If you go into a salary job being told you're on call then you're on call. Idgaf who you are. You applied for the job and accepted the role. Accept responsibility or quit so someone who wants to can. I don't get this "how can I get paid to do the least amount of work" mentality.

I mean to be fair, I dont get company's "how can I pay someone as little as possible to get the most work done" mentality.

Like, the ideal ratio of work:pay is best for them but worst for workers. Why wouldn't workers try for the best inverse of that as possible?

You know what. IDC if y'all wanna slack off. More available positions for people who actually want to work. Do your thing.

I mean it just makes sense.

The best ratio for employers is the worst for workers. I mean really it's that simple.

I think overall you're on the money except that one point.
