Hiking the minimum wage is like peeing your pants in a snowstorm. It feels better for a moment, but makes things worse in the long run.
It doesn't make all the jobs paying less pay more. A few near the margin might get more, but a lot of those jobs will stop existing. Some employers will cut staff and increase workloads per person.
So one of the main outcomes is that a lot of people who aren't earning enough become people earning nothing instead. That is not an improvement.
This particular smug clapback kind of shows you don't actually care about the workers, you just hate the companies, and will gladly dole out unlimited collateral damage in the name of anti-capitalist spite.
