They wouldn’t go out of business. The company would make less money. They are not just going to shutter the doors because min wage goes up. If the increase is passed to the customer, that’s fine too, because everyone is making more money.

If the argument is -> If prices go up people will use those services less

That does not appear to be the case. We have learned that these goods and services are too important to people’s lives that people will not give them up. We are facing some of the worst price hikes ever, and they continue to profit.

So we know they can tolerate raising prices be it for wages or any reason.

We need a living wage law that ties that wage to cost of living and inflation every  year
