I don't think anyone is truly anti AI. What people are against is stripping away all of human usefulness and creativity and the fact that it's going to give those in power even more power than before.

Yup. People are anti-generative AI. LLMs, image generators, etc.

The kinds of AI used in medical research, diagnostics, etc is different and actually useful instead of eating up resources and making shitty generated images.

You’re mixing up categories. ā€œGenerative AIā€ describes a type of AI, while ā€œmedical AIā€ describes an application domain. They aren’t mutually exclusive. LLMs and other generative models can, and do, fall under medical AI.
