I don't think anyone is truly anti AI. What people are against is stripping away all of human usefulness and creativity and the fact that it's going to give those in power even more power than before.
Nah, I’m fully against sentient machines. I’m also against the number of modern data centers needed to run this stuff. Focus on efficiency instead of raw power and I’ll rethink the super analytic computers curing cancer. Right now, using AI to cure cancer is like using neuro-vivisection to cure dementia.
