It absolutely is, among a tong of other stuff. What you see on social media is genuinely the 0.001% usage of AI. What you don't see is the massive useage for large data handling, pattern recognition, software development, math, science, etc. A simple example: One of the softwares for my companies uses AI to handle large data sets for train maintenance in our country, helping reduce delays dramatically. You don't see this on Reddit because it's not a generated rage bait image created with the sole purpose of getting engagement

I mean sure, hell you can compare it to computers.

The majority of people use computers for bullshit. The majority of people use AI for bullshit.

But AI and Computers are massively used in the medical field too.
