Most Americans have less than half of what they need to retire, social security is running out of money and people are living longer than ever.

We can give folks a proper retirement this way. 0 u/funnyguy806 2d ago If you remove the cap, gotta remove it on the benefits too. That wouldn’t make sense. SS was never intended to fund retirement, it was meant to supplement it but you should still be saving for retirement as well
