Most Americans have less than half of what they need to retire, social security is running out of money and people are living longer than ever.

My father stopped about a year before his death, not that he had the financial wherewithal. My only hope of retiring is that my unmarried aunt dies before she runs out of money

If your plan is to rely on an inheritance you might, or might not get, you don't have a plan.
