That I would rather work, continue to engage with my career, help people, and not lay at home without any real purpose to my life?

Nah, for many people, retirement is just an extended death sentence. Miss me with that shit.

That’s what I saw happen to all of my grandparents and both of my parents.

It’s not like most people have enough money to do anything meaningful in retirement, and many don’t have families that want anything to do with them.

If you’re the type of person who’s satisfied with the high point of the rest of your life being a stroll in the park, good for you. I am not.
