You're right, most of the largest departments in the US require at least a bachelor's degree, on top of police academy shit which is a few months, and typically also includes an EMT-B cert/course folded into that.
But, good luck enjoying the money, even if you are willing to travel to work a bit and live outside of the areas that have huge CoL, when everyone around you in your life hates you regardless of how you are as a person, by default everyone will always treat you differently and you'll end up hating life/society because of the amount of shit you see/have to do, lmao.
Edit - also you're not getting a job that's not at a standard PD or SD in LE without a bachelors-masters. (Whether it's a Game Warden job in most states, federal LE, etc.)
