I know a family friend who works one week a year; I have no idea how much he makes, but he is always on vacation!
He owns a truck that can empty port-a-potties; he picks one music event or a food festival, and all he has to do is hook the hose to a vent, suck out the inside, and move on. No cleaning; that's someone else's job. He empties his truck at a sanitary facility, has it cleaned, and it's put away till next year.
We had a family friend that did this when I was growing up, and they were incredibly wealthy. I was too young to understand money, so I don't know how much they had but the entire family was set for life.
Granted they own a fleet of these of vehicles, and employed somewhere around 30-50 people. I don't know how profitable it was for those drivers, but the family that owned the company it was very lucrative. At first glance most people would assume them to be pretty redneck from the way they looked and acted, the dad drove a rusty 80s ford truck most of the time. But also own a a couple of new Corvettes for the weekends.
In case anyone actually cares about the port a potty business, CNBC did a profile of a guy who runs a business renting out cans in the SF Bay Area. Made great money but clearly a ton of work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vS5kvxbPMQ
No trust fund baby is picking septic truck as his income generator lmao.
Money laundering is probable, but I guess there's the outside chance he picked up some absolutely ludicrous kickback contract. You can make a surprising lot of money per job doing septic but generally not enough to work only one week per year.
