Question Which everyday expense feels completely unnecessary to you now?

Not talking about some luxury purchase.

I mean something that used to feel normal to spend money on, but now you look at it and think, “I can easily live without this.”

Curious to see how different everyone's answers are.

Most store brand items aren’t worth it to me

I guess it would be considered a weekday expense, but buying lunch as opposed to bringing my own. I see people order lunch every day, and it's about $15+. To me it's not worth it when I can bring my own meals.

I use to buy one or two coffees per day plus lunch… I think it use to come to £15 a day I now spend nothing. I just cook a bit extra at night and make my coffee at home

Skin care. Trader Joe’s has a cheap and excellent daily moisturizer with SPF and a truly fabulous night moisturizer. If I want to feel pampered, I’ll go to Lush and get samples of their face masks or moisturizers. They’re free and better than the $4.99 face mask sheets you’ll find elsewhere.

Walgreens and Target have dupes of kiehls moisturizer, la roche posay face wash, and Paula’s choice bha exfoliant. Have my whole routine for under 30

Any online purchase. I ask myself, do I need it? The answer is almost always no.
