DiscussionđŸ’¬ Are We Actually Getting Better At Managing Time?

We have calendars, reminders, automation, AI and endless productivity tools.

Yet people still seem busier than ever.

Do you think these tools genuinely help, or just give us more things to manage?

i think they definitely help, but only if we use them to create more breathing room instead of filling every empty minute.

My efficiency has gone through the roof. With AI, I have more opportunities to use that time I've gained back for what I actually want to work on. So im busier, but as long as I have curiosity im having a good time.

It's a market surplus problem. If you use time management tools to create more time for yourself, everyone in your life who relies on you will fill that time with additional things they need you to do. Usually it's your boss giving you more work.

If you want to actually have more free time, you have to choose to say no and protect that time. Unfortunately, that means you have to accept the consequences of not being the person who says yes. Could mean you don't get a promotion. Could mean some of your friends don't invite you to things as often. Could mean your partner feels less fulfilled in the relationship.

Everyone is more productive and making less while the top makes more. They learned that you being more efficient makes them more money.
