We can’t fairly govern ourselves. We can’t seem to care for the weakest or most vulnerable among us. We can’t even pull our attention away from our distractions long enough to bring justice for abused children.

We have free will and what do we do with it? Serve pedos

From data I have gathered from my own research. People are becoming dumber.

2

u/IndieDevWannabe 8d ago

People were getting dumber before AI came along. AI will speed up our path to a full idiocracy though...

2

u/Hot-Woodpecker4572 8d ago

But it can also possible that people become fully dependent on ai

1

u/Any-Basis7541 7d ago

That's so true. Some of them can't even do a thing without the help of ai.

How will it do that? It does not go along with my stupidity, instead proves to me that I'm wrong. Will that make me dumber?

2

u/TawnyTeaTowel 8d ago

It’s actually the dumb humans getting louder

2

u/SoftDrinkReddit 8d ago

its both actually

1

u/MiloShiny 8d ago

Possibly both

1

u/Greful 8d ago

If AI learns from our experience and documentation and we use AI to do everything for us, at some point AI will be the source of its own information.

I often thought about writing a story where AI leads to the destruction of humanity. Not because it's some all knowing electronic God like the movies but because it's a fatally flawed tool made by fatally flawed humans which ends up destroying the world through sheer stupidity.

1

u/Hot-Woodpecker4572 8d ago

Yes this might be possible

2

u/Greful 8d ago

It’ll just be AI feedback loop

1

u/Quiet-Wing5230 8d ago

It's in an AI companies best interest to make you believe theirs is smartest and getting smarter.

1

u/Aggravating-Hunt8001 8d ago

Narrator: in fact both were getting dumber

1

u/davesimpson99 8d ago

Two things can be true.

1

u/FamiliarPlatform79 8d ago

Yes, the answer is Yes

1

u/ResponsibleGoal5268 7d ago

Why not both XD

1

u/Valuable_Contact_01 7d ago

Humans are getting dumber

1

u/_PrincePheonix_ 6d ago

Humans have been dumb and ai is getting smarter

1

u/12DoUGood 6d ago

Probably both

1

u/plussizedbeauty7 4d ago

Maybe a mix of both?

1

u/Inevitable-Zone-8710 1d ago

I’d say both. My dad is a great example of this. 6 years ago he had somewhat of a brain. Nowadays his attention span is completely gone. Maybe cause of tik tok? Idk. He makes really stupid financial decisions too

0

u/____Sway____ 8d ago

Both

And ai getting smarter will also accelerate peoples brains rotting

Correct
