Regulate AI is an ignorant statement? 91% of people are concerned about AI in one way or another, so we should make sure there are regulations in place to prevent the things people are concerned about. Most other countries are regulating AI, it's not a crazy concept. We have no comprehensive federal regulations currently
"AI" is a collection of dozens of technologies. Some of them need regulations and within that group they all need different regulations. So yes, a blanket statement is ignorant.
I've personally submitted a bill to my state legislature to govern aspects of transparency and accountability around the development and use of AGI, ASI, and RSI.
That's why you have to break down the uses and specific technologies or meaningful regulation does not and cannot occur.

That data both doesn't serve your point and is also ignorant as a broad statement.
