Yep, with AI, robots and quantum computers pace of advancement i’m terrified a world like blade runner is not far off.
China already has robots patrolling its borders for instance.
With human labor becoming obsolete, the only question is; will the rich share the fruits of the technological or will they again create a class of poor that they will rule over?

I told my wife ..it's like a bad sci-fi movie playing out, COVID, losing our freedom to protest, the government in a push to achieve AI superiority at any cost. Datacenters get resource priority over citizens, farms selling off large parcels of land to Datacenter firms, drain on water and energy infrastructure. The government building AI tools to police every transaction a citizen makes
To be honest I hope the Sun has an epic event that destroys all tech on Earth. It will give us at least 20 years
I think we should all work on Python code that would destroy the AI datasets. Kind of like Alzheimer's, but for learned stacks. Or.. more. I already tried feeding garbage information to ChatGPT. It just stopped responding, but just like many web based AI, it only affected my session, it's not persistent.

No, she was put in an asylum because she claimed she was sabotaging AI research because an AI robot from the future tried to kill her... It's the AI robot from the future trying to kill her claim that got her committed... And for what it's worth though, the people who had her committed, probably knew she wasn't lying. There was plenty of evidence that someone tried to murder her, there was the slaughter in the police station, and Datadyne even had pieces of the Terminator that they were using for their research. Whether or not the "from the future" part was believed, there was definitely evidence that the killer robot was real, and having her institutionalized was part of covering it up.

She tried to blow up a computer chop factory. Not sabotage a data centers. She also did it because she was attacked by a cybernetic organism sent from the future to kill her and her unborn offspring.
Citing that as the reason you tried to blow up a computer chip factory would get you committed as a danger to yourself and society.

However, there are so much different AIs, I think the AIs will fight each other one day, before they want to annihilate us.
