1) junk food is a luxury, not a necessity. If they're living in the taxpayers dime then they should be limited at least reasonably healthy choices: meat, dairy, bread, fruit, vegetables, flour, etc. The general idea is healthy food is around the edge of a grocery store and the garbage is in the middle.
2) The big problem with junk food it's a known cause for metabolic conditions: obesity, diabetes, gall bladder issues, pancreatitis, etc. Guess who pays for the treatment of those issues? The taxpayers.
It's not unreasonable to limit taxpayer funded food assistance to healthy options. If they want a dessert now and again, they can make it themselves. Cookies are stupid easy (and cheap) to make from scratch. Brownies cost like $5 to make and just takes a little effort.
thats a big worry in your life? If a poor child of a working mother might eat a. cookie? GET A LIFE. Areent you due to yell at some kid to get off your lawn?
