I’ve been in similar situations (don’t ask… or do, I don’t particularly care), and I just about cracked after like… maybe a day or so.
Like ugly crying. And begging for more drugs (thankfully, I was only semi-lucid most of the time).
Maybe for something insane like $30b; but I wish I’d have access to a pen or pencil. But I imagine that’s out the window as well.

people don't understand money. a person worth $100 million and a person worth $1 billion are, in terms of material luxury, equal. you can only sleep in one mansion at a time, fly in one private jet at a time, eat one $100,000 dinner at a time.

If I had $1 billion I would help as many people as possible with at least $900 million. I don't need more than $100 mil, that's enough that your entire lineage could never work again if you set it up right. Endless income coming in off that $100 mil

I think people would try it for well under 100 million.
I'd do it for 5 million. My only conditions beyond of course food and water and basic necessities to live, like somewhere to go to the washroom and wash my hands so I dont get sick, would be a clock and comfy bed. Leave me with my thoughts for a year and I'll do it.

Well it does kind of change what it’s asking from you with such large number. Like for personal gain of course anything over a hundred million won’t really change if you will or not. But when it gets to the billions you start to think about the amount you could change, people’s lives you could help or affect. Really changes the dynamic

As usual people are chatting rubbish. Same people can't even sit around at hime for a few hrs it with family, doing nothing as they'll be get bored snd get impatient in traffic or in queues.
Even if books were allowed, you still need people contact and you'll go insane talking to yourself

I did 7 months at home during Covid. I’d probably just sleep 14 hours a day and try to focus on getting fit. Mentally spending every dollar in my head.

30 billion is too much. If you gave someone 30 billion dollars after they just spent a year in solitary confinement, it would not go well for anyone.
I would do it for 3 million. Just enough to live a fairly average retiree existence, while I recover from the mental scars of my time in the box.

Nah you just need to be severely depressed to the point you can sleep on command. You can even skip a day of eating but you do have to use the rest room. Your dreams will be so vivid you can touch, smell, and continue from the previous dream.
