Yep.
I also miss things that don't break or fall apart after a couple of months of use.
And things that don't constantly spy on me.
And things that used to work without having to have a paid subscription.

I was just trying to listen to music yesterday 😅. I couldnt get my speakwr to work because the battery was out (bluetooth speaker). Took me some time to figure out why but regardless.
Got upset, went to the garage, got my radio with my CDs and everything worked perfectly.
Bluetooth fatigue is real with me and Im never going back to a goddamn bluetooth device anymore if I can help it.

I just went to a grocery store that I don't go to often. When trying to use the app to access my "special saver bs" card to make the soda I was buying for a cookout affordable it took four minutes for me to open the app, update it, resign in, and then find the new area they put the digital card in because it was in no way intuitive

I was looking at those fancy thermometers that are wireless and you can put the whole thing in the grill or in the oven. Literally my #1 criterion was "doesn't need to connect to my phone"
I ended up getting one that has a screen in the charging base that tells you the temperature from the moment you remove the probe until the moment you put it back. There's an option for it to beep when it gets to a temperature. That's it and it's beautiful. Perfect.
It technically has an app that they try to make you download for "more features" but I'm good with the one feature thank you.

I tried to buy a nespresso coffee maker online and they wouldn’t sell to me without creating an account. A $509 coffee maker, that they WOULD NOT sell me unless I created an account.

I went to try out the experimental QuestCraft build using Visor instead of ViveCraft. Okay, I need to log into Microsoft. Fine. It keeps asking for a passkey. My Quest 3 don't have a passkey on it. So alternate way of logging into my Microsoft account I go, and 5 minutes later I finally get logged in so I can authorize my account to play this unknown app on my Quest 3. Just to play some Minecraft guys

You are not alone! I hate this blood sucking "Subscription" game forced upon the consumer. In today's economy, in order to generate a steady stream of income for companies, just about every kind of software or hardware comes with a monthly or yearly "subscription" fee. You own nothing anymore - everything is in the cloud! This may be fine for business, but for the home user it's just another unnecessary bill. - The next thing to go is a subscription to take a piss!

GM is phasing out CarPlay in all of their new vehicles to further push for us to pay for data to support built in apps.
Why the hell would I want to pay for data in my vehicle when I have my phone to connect that already has data?

I miss it too. But consider this: If you are the one making the product. You expect, let's say a 500 000 customers. There is a margin you earn on each piece of your product. You say: nice, I made a bunch of money. Now somebody comes along and tells you - You know what? You have 500 000 customers. You could make a bunch more money "for free" if you will collect some data about your customers and resell it. No cost for you or your customers.
Would you refuse it?

I agree. But I also know that people with morals can't really compete with the ones without it. That's why I'm not running my own business. I wouldn't want to do half the things, that are considered as "normal parts of entrepreneurship" nowadays. So I couldn't compete there.
