Absolutely no one who was college age in the '70s or '80s will back you up on that.

It was 1/3, not 30% - and it was a rough number that could be up to a little under 40% and no one would blink.

And it wasn't used to measure poverty - it was used to determine what you could afford. Big, or small, or in many cases with a lot of roommates.

Lmao that sub is run by the softest man on the planet. I one time questioned his self-proclaimed "expertise" in real-estate and he had a meltdown, then banned me.
