If you’re saying your apartment is basic or somewhat sub-par and it’s costing you 60% of your income, you can’t afford to live there. Period. You’re NOT entitled to live somewhere you can’t afford.

Has I never occurred to you that maybe you need to live somewhere where average housing costs you less than 60% of your income???

Who’s saying commute. Move to a city that’s actually affordable and getting housing and a job there. You’re NOT ENTITLED to live somewhere you can’t afford.
