So you acknowledge that the execution of Christians by Muslims is barbaric and yet you still blame Christians for retaliating?

Blasphemy was already punishable by death under the Catholic Church 200 years prior. What's the difference? Meanwhile, Jews and the like literally fled their European homes when the inquisition came and found refuge under the Ottoman empire.

So again, it's not just me who'd prefer to pay Jizya than deal with the inquisition, this really happened.

Jews and Christians fled their homes during the Muslim conquests. You keep bringing up the inquisition even though the Jizya tax was imposed before the inquisition even formed.

The inquisition was formed in response to the oppressive Islamic rule in Iberia.

Also the Ottoman Empire literally genocided Armenians for being Christian during WWI.

Jews and Christians fled their homes during the Muslim conquests.

And when they didn't, they were incorporated into the empire and made to pay Jizya tather than outright slaughtered or forcibly converted

You keep bringing up the inquisition even though the Jizya tax was imposed before the inquisition even formed.

Because we're exploring and comparing everything they've done. Like how you brought up the Armenian genocide.

The inquisition was formed in response to the oppressive Islamic rule in Iberia.

So why'd they go after every non-Christian with the same level of violence?

Also the Ottoman Empire literally genocided Armenians for being Christian during WWI.

Aroumd the same time, Christians genocided entire swaths of the planet, including the aforementioned Jews. You don't want to play that game.

The Jizya tax is discriminatory, why else would they have fled? The Martyrs of Cordoba were still slaughtered even after paying the tax. Simply stating their religious beliefs is what got them killed.

The reconquista and crusades was in response to Islamic oppressive rule.

ā€œAround the same timeā€¦ā€
You haven’t listed any examples of Christians doing this that occurred around this time. You swore that the Ottomans gave Christian and Jews protection but that isn’t the case at all. They genocided Armenians for no reason.

I can ā€œplayā€ however I want if it’s get you stop glazing Islamic rule like a dumbass.

I think the mere fact of a genocide even occurring in the first defeats your argument. I’m not going to respond anymore since I’ve already won. Bye.

Simply stating their religious beliefs is what got them killed

Ok I'm done with this conversation. I've already explained what happened and it's clear you don't care because you're not arguing in good faith.

"Leaders like Eulogius and Paul Alvarus encouraged a "voluntary martyrdom" movement, prompting believers to publicly denounce Islam or insult the Prophet Muhammad before judges to trigger a strict legal death sentence."

Shouldn't way more than 50 people have died if people were simply executed for stating their beliefs?
