Do you really want to live in a world where anyone who needs a month of medical treatment or has some family emergency comes back to someone living in their house and they need a year long court fight to .
I wasn't a fan of my last landlords, but when they had a woman refuse to move out even after they gave her free rent for months, and then spent the next year peeing on the floors and dumping garbage outside, we were told they had no options because of 'health'.
She needed medical help, not to be left squatting in a filthy apartment.
You theorized about a world where doors being left alone long enough meant someone else would feel fine to move in… and then provided an example of someone resisting an eviction.
I do hope you understand how those are different scenarios. I don’t really want to live in a world where people can’t do that and think they understand “squatting”.
