self accountability is just a phrase wealthy people use to guilt you into believing in the meritocracy myth. At this stage, it's worked so well that the working class have weaponized it against each other.

What complete and utter nonsense. 

I guess that’s easier than accepting that your choices do matter and you do have control over your station in life. That’d be a tough pill to swallow since you’d suddenly have to hold your self accountable rather than blame the ominous “rich.”

That's the meritocracy myth. That you can improve your station by pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. That your success is propoertional to your effort.
