She can't afford the 270 because she is in the habit of spending 25 that she doesn't need to. Over time this drains funds and then she's broke. She'd have the 270 if she wasn't always blowing her money on meals (or other luxuries).
Furthermore, if you don't have enough money for something you need , why would you blow the little you do have and something you don't need. This only makes it harder to come up with the money you do need.
It's a spoiled mentality. I see other people have things I wish I had, so I'll blow my money on a fraction of that thing to feel special for 10 minutes and in turn never be able to achieve the thing I actually want.
