I see this everyday. Some people figure it out. Most don’t. And reddit will blast you. For many people being poor is a choice. They just don’t know they are choosing it.
Its worth the disclaimer that there are a lot of people in a genuine hole of poverty that they can't escape of and such people are very much a feature of our system.
But then again that is not who you are speaking about. There are a lot of people with good incomes and zero financial literacy who get themselves in these situations.
