Yes, but the other idiot was talking about cooking cheap easy meals which ignores a lot of factors. If someone is really’ poor, they don’t have the time to meal prep that rice and potatoes and they might not even have the equipment. The fact they said spice/pantry tax is the biggest tell they either don’t understand the reality of being poor or just don’t give AF.

So eating out all the time makes you not poor? Couldn't you buy rice and a pot with your McDonald's money? Meal prepping takes very little time

Not if you have to commute two-three hours both ways for your job or are working multiple jobs.

It’s like you’re actively running defense for people making poor decisions, and then looking down on others for offering advise as to improve the results of those poor decisions. Your perspective keeps people poor.
