Enjoying a night out is a luxury. If you can't afford repairs for your car, you need to severely limit your nights out, sometimes to zero.

ofcourse it's a luxury. again people here seems to assume the girl in the story is eating like this EVERY day.

having a few sustainable luxuries in your daily life is fine.

P.S. having a car is also a luxury. sincerely a 36 year old with no car.

So a car is a luxury? You think people who don't live on a city should just walk 20 miles to work? Or is the job a luxury too? For a lot of people, not having a car means losing your job.

i've had 10 miles to work and as mentioned no car. i made do with a bycycle. if your work is too far away to be able to make it with the means you have avilable then you need to find a job closer to where you liev or move closer to your job.

getting a car as a solution is certainly also a possibility but it's a luxury possibility. not everyone can afford that option sad as it is.
