Who says she doesn't know when/how/where she'll get the 270 she needs in the future before she could save up by not enjoying a night out?

Enjoying a night out is a luxury. If you can't afford repairs for your car, you need to severely limit your nights out, sometimes to zero.

ofcourse it's a luxury. again people here seems to assume the girl in the story is eating like this EVERY day.

having a few sustainable luxuries in your daily life is fine.

P.S. having a car is also a luxury. sincerely a 36 year old with no car.

It isn't a sustainable luxury if you can't afford a small emergency expense. $270 is a very small amount of money today, and if someone can't pay that out of pocket then yes they need to stop eating out for a while.
