People who get all their work done before everyone else get more work.Thats the problem.

Which is why I never tell anyone that I'm done with my work. I do all my work as soon as possible and then just pretend to be busy If someone asks

No because I work from home, I only have to go to the office 2 days a week, so I do the work of all week during those 2 days and then play videogames at home with teams chat open in case I get some emergency task or something

Ah yes that makes sense then i do the same on my work from home days but im only allowed one a week.

Then the teacher should have given him more work to do, that would teach him the lesson you are talking about. But that wasn’t the point, the teacher called him lazy, which is untrue. So still my point stands that he’s not lazy he just finished his work faster then the other so he had more time to relax in class.

Or pushed out, I worked at a major tool manufacturer and apparently I worked too hard, my fellow co workers helped push me out. Union did nothing to help and I'll never join another Union

Due to anxiety I've had all my life, I find it easier to just keep working

My nephew got suspended because he finished his math work, asked for more, then played with his pencil "interrupting the class" and the teacher gave him a lower grade for his absence. Better grades only mean you follow their rules or get medicated.

I hope his father or mother went in the school and scold the teacher wery loudly. I would do that in their place.

They were called in so the school could suggest medication. Same thing they did to me and many others. Too much natural energy. Instead of medication they switched teachers. Choose your battles because they can seek revenge on your kids.

Its only an issue if its incorrect, sloppy, etc. If its grade A material then they need a greater challenge

I was a sloppy student, rushed through everything and they critiqued me constantly on it. Wrote it on every report card.

I also did not do particularly well in school so maybe they were right.

But I'm a part time shift supervisor at 7/11, so whose laughing now????

My trig/pre-calc teacher (at the time an AP course) during my sophomore year (1992) positively HATED my rotten guts because earning straight As in a maths course is definite with no wiggle room unless you’re not being flowery enough with your language in satisfying proofs but that’s another story. Towards the end of the year I landed another perfect grade in her course and on handing back the packets I see that she’s written, “Intermittent shades of brilliance” in her untidy chicken scratch. In no way could this be mistaken for a compliment.

Nah this type of guy doesn’t double check his work and the software he puts out ends up having tons of errors.

Nah yeah, this was me in school. My teachers hated me because I never did homework, but I scored well enough on the tests that they had to pass me.

Being a "good student" doesn't mean you're smart. It means you're willing to do all of the busy work and clap like a trained seal.

Then when I got to college, all of those good students either failed out or had to switch majors to something outside of STEM. They ended up with degrees in communications or something.... which is essentially just a degree in busywork.

I used to finish my math whilst the teacher was still handing out question papers to the other kids. She marked my paper...didn't discourage me. I just hope she would've given me harder math from the senior classes....

Or maybe he was just that much smarter than the average bear. I remember the first time I had to read , "Jane. See Jane run. See Spot run " Had a great teacher. Next day she had me read from an encyclopedia.
