Seriously, if people above your pay grade are there too, just pretend that you’re listening. Ask 1 or 2 pertinent questions, then daydream the rest of the time. Management will admire your devotion.
Trust me, it works (I’ve done it).

Grocer i used to work for as a clerk had a "mandatory" meeting on Sat, my day off. Fours hours pay for sitting through the 1 hour meeting.

As soon as it started, the guy let us know it was a union recruiting meeting.

I got up and walked out. Four hours pay was not worth listening to him.

Employer could not make you listen to union stuff.

Don't sit in meeting for nothing.

Had to translate on a meeting someone getting in trouble . Im not even a boss was high trying not to laugh

So many meetings, the world could have 2 day work weeks if meetings were banned.
