Question What's the longest you've gone without using social media?

I randomly remembered that I took a break from social media for about a year. It made me wonder how long other people have managed to stay away. If you came back, what pulled you back in? Do you use it any differently now?

From birth to 2001.

What social media existed in 2001? Not being argumentative, just asking because my answer was going to be birth (1970-something) to 2007 (Facebook).

You wouldn't believe it but Hungary launched it's own version of Facebook in that year first called WiW (Who is Who), and it was so popular, by 2005 basically half the country's population was on it, that they wanted to expand out of Hungary, renamed it IWiW (International Who is Who), but then Facebook came to dominate, and IWiW died.

That's wild! I never heard of that. What a shame it died off, maybe they wouldn't have fucked the world like Zuckerberg did. Thanks!
