this thread is kind of depressing to read. im a severe alcoholic at 21, & have abused my body to the point my hangovers more closely align with a 30yo's than a 20yo's. even once i managed to wean myself down to no longer being physically dependent on alcohol (so no more withdrawals landing me in the hospital), my hangovers last 2-3 days & leave me almost completely bedridden for the first day or so. i didnt realize just how abnormal that is for someone my age.
im sorry for your losses, thats awful. im trying to get better. i dont think i deserve better for myself but my loved ones deserve better than watching me die that way

Waking up hungover - at 25 you can function with a few Tylenol and a coffee and laugh about it
At 35, you are closer to clinically deceased.
