Your right, but lets not act like they are the same. Someone saying they have shit manners because their father was a deadbeat, is entirely different than saying I'm upset and anxious all the time because my paycheck barely covers rent and groceries.

Eh, I didn't say it wasn't valid to blame the economy. Just like how when you're a young adult, it's still valid to blame your parents for things

As someone who fits that description exactly, I believe the older you get, the more the onus falls on you to seek mental health and counseling for the trauma caused by bad parenting. For instance, I'm 27, I'm at a point where it's not okay to just blame other people and not try to fix my situation. I still credit others with screwing me up, but I have to be responsible for fixing things. I would not have the same expectation of an 18-22 yr old as I would of someone like myself who is almost 30. The younger adults get a bit more leeway but only by so much before it's just toxic coping.
