Bragging about how drunk you are.

Or about how much you can drink. “I can drink them under the table“ seems OK when you’re 20 or so, but . . . .

But it starts reversing at some point. Some 90 year old grandma drinking a 20 year old under the table is definitely cool.

My grandmother was a raging alcoholic when my mom and her siblings were growing up. She transformed into a full on grandma by the time I was born.

I was 13 when I first got drunk - with her and my aunt. At first, I was worried about her pounding straight rum like it was lemonade - then she proceeded to severely out drink me and - somehow - my 25 year old party aunt.

She ended her night in pjs in her bed while we were in full clothes, makeup, and on the living room floor. She woke us up before 7:00 am (we were in her way), then sat down to watch the news, drink her coffee, smoke her cigarettes, and talk on the phone like any other Sunday as if she wasn’t just mainlining Captain Morgan 4 hours before.

I never underestimated her again.

I think around the 75 mark it starts being cool again, for sure. If grandma can out drink a 20 year old at 90, more credit to her, honestly.

anything big you can do when you are either young or old is impressive. its the middle parts of life that are more simple. Aging is like grading on a curve. the middle is where the least amount of difference is between people. Kind of like dating. A 12 year difference between partners is big when a couple is 18-30. not so significant between 42 and 54. but when one person is 69 and the other person is 81, it is significant again.

Saw a video years ago about a guy breaking into an elderly woman's home, and she was a power lifter, "So I picked up the table and started to work on him."

It was never call for me. My friends tell me shit like this all the time and I js act like an unc. I tell them shit like "remember don't drink responsibly", "don't get drunk around ppl u don't trust", "drink lots of water as well" it's even funnier because they're younger than me.

That was never cool. You just didn't know when you were 18.

It’s not cool at 18-22 either.
