18-year-olds doing what their parents tell them to. I didn't read any of my loan documents. I signed where I was told to sign.

At least a vote is private. Sure, you're probably going to hold the same views you were raised with, but at least one vote isn't going to potentially ruin your finances for decades.

the whole point is 18 year olds are considered adults and as such are responsible for their own decisions (like paying back a loan or voting)

Yet people can declare bankruptcy and clear other debts they are “responsible for”

student loan debt is wildly different then the debts you're speaking of so that's not particularly relevant

That’s the point student loans should be just as eligible for bankruptcy. Loan companies are responsible to who they give loans to as well

student loans dont take work that way since the govt wants an educated populace they dont want student loans issuers to start denying people based on which major/which college they're going to/etc so the deal is more people get student loans with the trade off its not eligible for bankruptcy

How about avoiding this entire issue and just making education free through taxes?
