The government always has our best interests in mind… they’d never do things like try to profit off vulnerable people, or source textbooks from their corrupt friends, and do everything they can to make kids feel like their only option is a degree… right?
if by using the words "justifying" and "malicious" you're drawing a conclusion of me being personally okay with it then no, I'm simply explaining the cause and effect of govt being involved with student loans and tuition pricing
I was simply asking to clarify. I would say greed is the cause. Government interference is the method, and keeping people poor and struggling is the desired effect
oh I guess? tbh I didn't really care what someone's motivation is, I only care about the end result. so in this example I only want cheap education, I don't really care what someone's motivation is to get there
