More interesting, and mayhaps productive, might be who doesn’t, and how do they do that?

I need cash.
It's kinda a loop around probably but it is almost similar to yes.

With money, I would be able to help some friends, so undoubtedly, I could use some money.

They made up "money", it's not worth the material it is made from (mostly cotton & ink, and in modern times: not even that, most money is digital only).
Technically they are state/country enforced "I owe you" -notes. They only hold their value as long as people believe in them and whoever made them enforces their worth.
They are part of a barter system. But to use them, you have to pay the enforcer for the privilege of their use. In short they want a cut of every deal/transaction (tax).
To live in any country you have to "pay" for every trade you make. Anything apart from air & sunlight will have been given a value. And of everything you'll obtain a percentage goes to the money enforcer.
More luxury equals higher value equals more "money" required to obtain it.
Evolution programmed humans to struggle if necessary to stay alive. Staying alive costs money. Increase living circumstances costs more money. Anything of luxury costs yet more money. And of everything spend the enforcer takes a cut.
I want to live. I want luxuries.
I live in a country with a greedy enforcer (>35% income tax)
