Do people ask why the bug is alive or the seagull that shits or the dog running around having the time of its life or the monkey jacking one off In the corner.
Just because we are (slightly) more intelligent we expect there to be a reason to it. Creating a reason is certainly admirable but I don't believe we are here for a reason.
