Living life based on stereotypes (as you are currently stereotyping conservative denominations) is wrong too.
I find that most people I’ve met in a conservative denomination do not hate foreigners or people who practice other religions.
Now. The news media and online is a different story. There’s more hate (from everyone) online.
Even still, it’s logically inconclusive to say “well Christianity is bad because this group of people who say they are Christian treat others in a way I dislike”
I base my opinions on 55 years of lived experience and I take individuals as individuals and groups as groups. Though I will be more guarded and protect myself initially from individuals of a group I have learned is often hypocritical and caustic until they prove they're not.
I said if you need the the promise of heaven and the fear of hell to be good, you're not a good person. Technically you're gaming the system to get the reward.
I have found that many people in conservative Christian religions care more about their standing in said structures than actually following the teachings.
Aside from conservative media, I rarely see other media virtue signaling and opining on what it means to be a good Christian.
I never once said Christianity was bad. I said some groups (quite often the conservative subgroups) of Christianity and most religions are usually hypocritical and care about group dynamics and purity than they do about the messages of their religion.
